KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica is preparing to make a bold statement on the international fashion calendar with the inaugural staging of Jamaica Fashion Week, presented by the Jamaica Fashion Council, from November 19-22, 2026, at Island Village in Ocho Rios.

The four-day celebration at Island Village in the heart of Ocho Rios, will bring together an impressive mix of designers, models, stylists, publicists, buyers, media representatives and fashion enthusiasts from Jamaica and overseas for a showcase that blends high fashion with the island’s rich cultural identity.

Attendees can expect an exciting lineup of runway presentations featuring established and emerging designers, complemented by live music, entertainment and a vibrant designer market that will spotlight Jamaican and Caribbean creativity.

Co-Founder & Chair of Jamaica Fashion Week, Carlotta Tate Olason, says the event is designed to become much more than a fashion showcase.
“We’re positioning Jamaica as the destination for fashion tourism, where fashion, culture, music, and travel create unforgettable experiences,” she said.

Organizers believe the event will help elevate Jamaica’s profile as a creative hub while creating new opportunities for local designers and fashion entrepreneurs to connect with international buyers, media and industry leaders.

The promotional campaign is already gaining momentum on the global stage. The Jamaica Fashion Week team has showcased the event in Milan and Amsterdam as part of its international marketing efforts and plans to continue promoting the inaugural edition through additional appearances in key fashion capitals around the world.

Co-Founder & Creative Director Latoya McLeary says Jamaica is ready to build its own fashion legacy. “Milan didn’t ask to be the fashion capital. It took it, with work and with craftsmanship. It created ‘Made in Italy’ and the world understood. Now it’s time for

Jamaica and the Caribbean to create a fashion ecosystem that will facilitate luxury and fashion tourism,” McLeary said.

Preparations for the November event are well underway. Organizers recently hosted the first official model scout in Jamaica and plan to conduct additional castings in the months leading up to Jamaica Fashion Week, creating opportunities for fresh local talent to grace the runway during the landmark event.

With its fusion of fashion, music, culture and tourism, Jamaica Fashion Week aims to establish itself as a signature event that celebrates Caribbean creativity while attracting international visitors and industry professionals to the island.
